What a beauty. Wait, the point was that the Almera has been doing pretty great in Malaysia.
Still in its infancy, the Nissan Almera has created a large impact in the Malaysian car market. Barely three months into its introduction, there have been more than 15,000 bookings, with the numbers continuing to soar. These impressive figures can be credited to the pricing of the car, set at as low as RM66,800, while not stinging in terms of features and accessories.

Simple and nice, although from far, it may look like a logo from a certain local car manufacturer.
When Andrew came to my house with the Impul Nissan Grand Livina, the first thought that went through my mind was, “Is Nissan being serious?”. From the outlook, it seems like Nissan has slapped on a few aesthetics, like the bodykit, the big 17″ rims, a stainless steel exhaust muffler and a few Impul badges here and there, then voila, an Impul Grand Livina. For those who don’t know, Impul was formed by Nissan’s factory driver, Kazuyoshi Hoshino in 1980. The company has found success in racing local circuits such as JTCC, Super GT and Formula Nippon. For a MPV to bear the Impul name, it has to be good.

Minor changes all round
Edaran Tan Chong Malaysia (Nissan) recently introduced the 2012 Sylphy. It is now available in 2 trim levels – the 2.0 XL and 2.0 XV. Navara based SUV
Nissan has just released more pictures of the 2013 Pathfinder’s interior. The current Pathfinder is a truck based 7-seater SUV, like Toyota’s Fortuner or Mitsubishi’s Pajero Sport. However, unlike its competitors, the Pathfinder is not available in Malaysia. It is available in Australia from AUD 47,000. From observing the pictures, the next generation Pathfinder seems more luxurious with features like sat navigation, iPod/iPhone compatible DVD player, a push start button, leather interiors and steering controls. The 2013 Pathfinder is based on the unibody or monocoque platform, which underpins the Murano as well.

Subtle changes here and there, reinforcing the mantra "why fix something that isn't broken?"
We drove the 370z last year, and although there were some weird faults, we loved it to bits. Nissan has given the 370z a facelift to keep the looks fresh in the US. Trained eyes will reveal that there’s a new front bumper incorporating LED daytime running lights, new rims design, red brake calipers and red reflector at the rear bumper. On the inside, fuel gauge trim is changed to a darker shade of colour. The 3.7 V6 engine power output remains unchanged at 322 hp and is still mated to a 6 speed manual or 7 speed automatic. Gallery is after the jump.

The Future Mother Trucker
Nissan has released 2 very quick teaser videos on what the Pathfinder concept looks like. The concept will be unofficially revealed at Detroit Auto Show on the 9th of January, 2012. The Nissan Pathfinder is based on Navara’s platform and it is likely that the Navara will get a similar front treatment. We would also expect to see the Nissan Pathfinder here this year. But until then, you get to savour the 2 videos after the jump.
