Volkswagen Emissions Scandal Test

Consumer Reports has produced a short video in relation with the recent Volkswagen diesel emissions test scandal. Less than a month ago, the German company was publicly exposed for knowingly cheating its way around EPA emissions tests by enabling a cheat mode during lab testing, before disabling it for typical consumer use.

In relation to the Volkswagen emissions scandal, Consumer Reports attempted to enable the cheat mode in a Jetta TDI, before putting it to test. Why, you ask? In order to discern performance and fuel economy figures with cheat mode enabled. Enjoy the video.
