Bernie Eccelstone Steps Down From F1 Board

Bernie to be tried for corruption charges in German court.

Bernie Eccelstone, the F1 veteran, stepped down from the Delta Topco board until the ongoing corruption case concludes.

Delta Topco, the company that runs the F1 sport, issued a statement that Bernie will, however, continue to run the sport on a day to day basis, subject to close monitoring of the board. Mr. Ecclestone is accused of giving a £27.5 million bribe to a German banker. It was believed that the payment was made between July 2006 and December 2007 to ensure that F1 was sold to a private equity group of Mr. Ecclestone’s choice. The banker, Gerhard Gribkowsky was the on the board of Bayern Landesbank. Gerhard is currently serving a jail sentence for receiving the payment.

About Jack Lee

Jack Lee is an unqualified petrol head (some say, to be one, you have to own an Alfa Romeo) who is disappointed with cars which are getting more and more electronics and the lack of interest in cars shown by today's youths in general. He owns an almost 20 year car from Germany, which has almost 50:50 weight distribution, 3 pedals (manual, FTW!) and believes that everyone should spin at the last corner of Sepang circuit at least once in their life. He also holds the distinction in TCG as the person with the lightest right foot, of course, when compared with his colleagues' mutated cast iron right foot.
