Formula E – F1 For Electric Cars

Formula E  is a new FIA championship featuring Formula cars powered exclusively by electric energy.

Formula E is set to commence in September 2014 until June 2015 across 10 cities landmarks from London to Los Angeles. 10 teams are set to compete in this series and Super Aguri was recently signed up as the 6th team. Joining Super Aguri, are Drayson Racing, China Racing, Andretti Autosport, Dragon Racing and e.dams.

The Formula E car is called the Spark-Renault SRT_01E. As the name implied, it is built by French company Spark Racing Technology, led by the renowned Frédéric Vasseur, together with a consortium of some of the leading companies in motorsport. Renault is the technical partner for the car. Other big names supplier to the Formula E car are McLaren Electronics Systems, Dallara, an Italian company which builds the monocoque chassis, Michelin and Williams Advanced Engineering, which supplies the batteries.

About Jack Lee

Jack Lee is an unqualified petrol head (some say, to be one, you have to own an Alfa Romeo) who is disappointed with cars which are getting more and more electronics and the lack of interest in cars shown by today's youths in general. He owns an almost 20 year car from Germany, which has almost 50:50 weight distribution, 3 pedals (manual, FTW!) and believes that everyone should spin at the last corner of Sepang circuit at least once in their life. He also holds the distinction in TCG as the person with the lightest right foot, of course, when compared with his colleagues' mutated cast iron right foot.
